The Short Version
EA's latest annual football sim, EA Sports FC 27, launches worldwide on September 25, 2026. What's New
The marquee addition is a new social hub, The Grounds. Split into three districts, it's an online space where players gather to play, with Alex Hunter, Mbappé, Chloe Kelly, and Paulo Dybala appearing as mentors. Note that The Grounds is exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X\|S, PC, and Switch 2 — last-gen consoles (PS4, Xbox One) and the original Switch are left out.
The on-pitch systems change, too. Dynamic Overall Ratings let a player's attributes shift with form, morale, fitness, injuries, and playing time — a real departure for fans used to fixed numbers. A defending rework aimed at competitive play is also promised. Ultimate Team adds a FUT Gallery for collecting and displaying Player Items with Holographic variants, plus a Hall of FUT honoring community favorites like Adebayo Akinfenwa and Marouane Fellaini. Manager Career has been overhauled with realistic transfer valuations and multi-stage negotiations.
Editions and Timeline
There are four editions, including a free trial called Lite. The top-tier Ultimate Plus was sold only during an early-bird pre-order window (July 23–August 31) and is excluded from Nintendo platforms and the Epic Games Store. Lite becomes free to download at 16:00 UTC on September 25.

Korea and Nexon
Korea has a particularly deep relationship with the FC series. Beyond the boxed console and PC releases, Nexon's EA Sports FC Online has long sat near the top of the country's PC-bang charts, so the appetite for football games runs deep. The catch is the staggered date. Against the September 25 global launch, Korea's release lands on October 2 — joining after the early Ultimate Team market has already opened.
