Why This Update Is Worth Tracking
Wuthering Waves launched on Xbox Series X|S just weeks ago, extending the game's platform reach to Microsoft's ecosystem for the first time. Version 3.6 is the first major content update to land across that expanded player base simultaneously — PC, console, and mobile all receiving the same content on the same day.
The technical highlight for PC players is a meaningful one: NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 Frame Generation is now supported, replacing the previous DLSS implementation. Frame Generation uses AI to insert intermediate frames, delivering a substantially higher perceived frame rate on supported hardware. For a game where fast, responsive combat is central, the difference is practical, not cosmetic.
Combined with new main story chapters, six limited-time events, and two new characters to evaluate for roster planning, 3.6 is among the more content-dense updates in the game's 2026 run.
Phase I: What's Available Now
Qingxiao
Qingxiao is the Phase I featured 5-star Resonator. She is also the central figure in the new main story content shipping with 3.6. Players interested in her role within the narrative have an immediate reason to engage with Chapter IV Act III before approaching her banner.
Her dedicated weapon, Glint of Clouds, is available in the Phase I weapon banner. Her outfit accessory, Cloudbloom, is also available now.
Denia (Rerun)
Denia returns as the Phase I companion featured Resonator. Players who missed her original banner get their second opportunity here. No gameplay changes to Denia have been announced alongside the 3.6 rerun.
Phase II: Available September 10
Jingran
Jingran arrives on September 10 when Phase II opens. Her weapon, Thousandfold Deliverance, and outfit accessory, Snowpaw, release simultaneously.
