Overwatch 2 Patch 4.32 Is Live — Summer Games Returns, Support Meta Reshuffled

Blizzard pushed Overwatch 2 Patch 4.32 (build 1.000.096) to live servers on July 14, 2026, simultaneously launching Summer Games 2026 and delivering the Season 3 mid-season balance update. The patch touches every role, with the most consequential changes landing on supports — Ana buffed, Kiriko trimmed — paired with a Ramattra overhaul that looks likely to reshape the tank meta heading into the season's second half.

Support Meta: Ana Up, Kiriko Down

The headline change is straightforward: Ana's Biotic Grenade now deals and heals 90 instead of 75. Blizzard's stated rationale in the patch notes is that "increasing Biotic Grenade's healing strengthens its defensive utility while also increasing its offensive impact." That framing matters — the buff makes the grenade better at both protecting teammates and punishing enemy healers in the same throw, widening the already distinct skill ceiling between landing and missing it.

Kiriko's nerf is the other half of this equation. Dropping Healing Ofuda from 13 to 12 per talisman sounds minor, but Kiriko's healing output scales with throw speed and quantity. Firing five talismans in a burst previously delivered 65 raw healing; that same burst now delivers 60. More critically, this reduction stacks across every burst sequence in a fight, and Blizzard is shipping it in the same patch that makes Ana more dangerous to the enemy team. The combined effect is a push toward more diversified support picks at higher ranks.

Brigitte's Inspire rework doesn't fundamentally change her ceiling but does change her opening tempo. Adding 12 instant healing on Inspire activation — while reducing the healing-over-time from 60 to 45 — means the moment she tags a diver or finishes an auto-attack chain, a small burst of healing lands immediately rather than waiting for the sustained tick to start. For players already good at using Inspire proactively, this slightly narrows the gap between good and bad activation timing.

Ramattra Returns

The Ravenous Vortex explosion damage doubling (15 → 30) is the standout tank change of the patch. Combined with the Nemesis Form Block cooldown falling from 1 second to 0.5 seconds, Ramattra gains both zoning pressure and defensive recovery at the same time. He has been sitting below effective pick thresholds for most of Season 3; these changes address both his damage output and his survivability in a coordinated push.

The Ramattra/Ana pairing is worth watching specifically: Ravenous Vortex with twice the explosion damage funnels clumped enemies directly into Biotic Grenade range, which itself just became stronger. Whether that combination reaches oppressive levels or just viability will be visible in Diamond–Masters pick data over the next several days.

Tank Nerfs: Mauga and Doomfist Reined In

Mauga now accumulates spread while firing a single Chaingun in addition to the previous maximum spread cap. This limits the sustained medium-range accuracy that made him difficult to pressure from distance. The gradual spread buildup is a pattern Blizzard has used before to discourage passive hold-and-fire playstyles without eliminating close-range effectiveness.

Doomfist's Empowered Punch collateral gains — both range and radius — fall from 75%/50% to 40% each. The ability remains a multi-target tool, but the zone that catches secondary enemies in grouped team fights is meaningfully smaller. Players who relied on wide collateral stuns to chain into the rest of their kit will feel the narrowed window.

Season 3 Heroes: Shion and Sierra Fine-Tuned

Both new Season 3 heroes receive adjustments this patch:

Shion was already strong enough at launch to receive a hotfix within its first two weeks. Patch 4.32 trims Joyride riding impact damage from 60 to 30 — a significant reduction to the mobility burst damage — while simultaneously tightening the Execution recovery from 0.4 to 0.3 seconds, improving rapid combo sequencing. The intent appears to reduce burst ceiling without slowing the hero's overall flow.

Sierra's Anchor Drone becomes more durable (health 80 → 125, a 56% increase) but operates slightly shorter (10 → 9 seconds) and refreshes one second faster (12 → 11 second cooldown). The net result is a drone that can absorb more punishment in an exchange but cycles slightly more frequently.

Venture's Clobber cooldown drops from 1.6 to 1.2 seconds. Blizzard notes this "increases the frequency with which Clobber can be used within engagements and improves its synergy with the Covered in Dirt Major Perk." For talent-specialized Venture builds built around the Major Perk, this is a meaningful loop tightening.

Summer Games 2026

The seasonal event runs July 14–30 and brings back three arcade modes:

ModeFormat
Lucioball3v3 soccer using Lúcio's core abilities
Lucioball RemixModified ruleset with power-up zones
Winston's Beach Volleyball3v3 volleyball on summer map variant

This year's event lowers the barrier for cosmetic rewards: the "Streamer's Luck" challenge completion threshold dropped from 20 to 3, meaning casual players can earn the summer cosmetics with minimal grind. A new Mauga Mythic skin and additional swimsuit variant skins are available through the seasonal track.

Competitive Outlook

This patch does not introduce system-level changes — no mode alterations, no new hero — but the support repositioning is the most significant balance move Blizzard has made in Season 3. Ana at 90 Biotic Grenade healing paired with Ramattra's doubled vortex explosion creates a new synergy point that didn't exist at Season 3 launch. If that pairing proves strong, expect the Kiriko nerf to be discussed in the context of enabling Ana's return to dominance rather than as an isolated adjustment.

Mauga's spread buildup nerf and Doomfist's collateral reduction on the tank side both push the meta slightly away from passive zone-control tanks and toward more dynamic frontline engagement. Whether that opens space for other tanks beyond Ramattra and Junker Queen remains to be seen.
