Smilegate RPG's MMORPG Lost Ark launched a new original class on its Korean servers on July 8. Known in Korea as 차원술사 (romanized Chawonsulsa, rendered in early press as "Dimensionist"), it's the fourth class in the Specialist archetype and the archetype's first male class. The catch for international players: the same class won't reach Amazon Games' globally published servers until September, under the working title Warpweaver — a two-month gap that reflects Lost Ark's usual pattern of Korea getting new classes first.

What the Class Does — A Dealer Built Around Time and Space
The class's skill tree is built around hour-hand, minute-hand, and combination skills, split into two combat styles. Time Manager is a Hit Master-style omnidirectional dealer that can save a specific moment in time and return to it on command, resetting HP, position, and cooldowns to that saved state. Spatial Swordsman is a back-attack specialist that opens a "Vulnerable Space," letting the player land guaranteed back-attack damage from any angle. Smilegate describes the class as relatively easy to control and manage.
Growth Support — A Jumping Event Just for the New Class
Alongside the general summer growth-support event, Lost Ark is running a dedicated jumping event for the new class. It hands out an artifact core selection box and eleven Level 7 gems, boosting characters up to Item Level 1720 — a low-friction on-ramp meant to get new and returning players straight into current endgame content.
Background — Why Korea Always Goes First
Lost Ark is developed by Smilegate RPG, which operates the Korean servers directly, while Amazon Games publishes the game under license across North America and Europe. New classes and raids have historically launched in Korea first, then rolled out abroad months later after localization and balance passes. Amazon Games' own June 22 roadmap post confirmed the same class is coming globally in September under the working title "Warpweaver," noting the final name may change before launch.
Community Reaction
Domestic Korean discussion is split between excitement and concern: the time-rewind mechanic behind the Time Manager build raises questions about whether it creates near-invulnerable windows in high-end content, while the class's low execution difficulty is being praised for accessibility. International players — who can't touch the class yet — have already produced reaction videos dissecting its skill kit since Amazon's roadmap reveal, a sign of pent-up interest ahead of the September launch.
