Story — The War of the Lions
Ivalice — a kingdom blessed by the gods. A year after its defeat in the Fifty Years' War, the king falls ill, leaving a two-year-old heir to the throne. Two rival dukes — Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion — compete for the regency, drawing the kingdom toward civil war.
You play as Ramza Beoulve, third son of the prestigious House Beoulve and childhood friend of commoner Delita Heiral. Their story unfolds against the backdrop of political manipulation, class struggle, and hidden truths about the kingdom's history — a story widely regarded as one of the most mature narratives in JRPG history.
