Diablo IV Patch 3.0.3 Is Live Today

Blizzard Entertainment has deployed Diablo IV patch 3.0.3 (Build #72031) across all platforms today, May 26, 2026. The update targets War Plans exploits, quest progression blockers, and a handful of item-related bugs that surfaced during the Lord of Hatred expansion cycle.

Notably, this patch contains zero balance changes — a signal that Blizzard is satisfied with the current class state ahead of the May 28 Sanctuary Sitdown developer Q&A.

War Plans Exploits — Blocked

The Infinite Goblin Farm

A combination of a specific War Plan node and Nightmare Dungeon shrine respawn behavior allowed players to summon effectively unlimited treasure goblins in a single dungeon run. Community testing estimated approximately 400 goblins as the practical cap before the game began despawning loot. Despite the spectacular nature of the exploit, the sheer volume of items meant a meaningful portion simply vanished. Patch 3.0.3 closes the loop entirely.

Infinite Amalgam of Rage

A separate War Plan exploit enabled infinite consecutive boss summons of the Amalgam of Rage in Nightmare Dungeons. Also patched.

⚠️WARNING

Items obtained through the infinite goblin exploit before this patch will not be revoked. The exploit window is now closed going forward.

Community Reaction

"

"The infinite goblin farm was peak Season 13 content. Rest in peace, you glorious exploit. 400 goblins and the loot just evaporating — this game is something else." — Reddit r/diablo4

"

"Six quest blockers in one patch is actually a lot. Good to see Blizzard cleaning up Lord of Hatred's rough edges before Season 14." — Blizzard Forums

"

"No balance changes is fine for now. The Rogue bug is still out there shredding tier 150 in 2 minutes, but hopefully that's next up on the hotfix list." — PC Gamer comments

Rogue Class Bug — Still Active

The Rogue class currently has an unaddressed exploit involving the Umbrex unique item that enables sub-2-minute clears of Tier 150 Tower. This bug was not fixed in patch 3.0.3 but has been flagged by the community and is expected to be addressed in a future hotfix. If your current build relies on this interaction, be aware it may be patched without warning.
